Somewhere in south Cocoa Beach is a winding path to a deserted beach. No public parking, no dune crossover, no lifeguards, no tourists, no one on the beach except the occasional neighbor or beach bicycle cruising by. The water is still warm even though it's January and the pompano have been biting. The swell from yesterday is still lingering and a couple of the boys are out there beyond the shorebreak trading waves.
