The onshore winds of fall bring lots of flotsam from the ocean onto the beach. Right now there is a good mix of stuff coming ashore. Moon jellyfish and sargassum above from the beach yesterday. The hard disks of the jellyfish pictured above are only the most durable parts of the jellyfish that remain after being tossed in the surf and the sand. They are completely transparent, quite rigid and harmless.
