Sea Oat Planting

The county, usually once a year, makes baby sea oats available for purchase for those who want to plant them on the beach to help dune regeneration. We purchased 96 babies for $48 and planted them on the beach behind the house yesterday afternoon. I'll keep readers informed of their progress here on the blog. Believe it or not the flat in the first photo contains all 96 seedlings.



The plants on approximate 18" centers as recommended.
