Curly Tailed Lizard

Here's a Northern Curly-tailed Lizard (Leiocephalus carinatus armouri) spotted at 1st St. North which according to available info is at the northern edge of their US range. This one is a hefty alpha male. These guys are common in the Bahamas.

Cruising Shark

There were several big sharks cruising the surface of the ocean off the Space Center this week. This one is around 10' long although it's hard to tell from this perspective. You can see one of the launch complexes in the background. Shot on March 11, 2009 about 7 miles offshore.
